”The investment process within Thalia is based on sourcing, screening, due diligence and portfolio management with integrated risk analysis”
The investment process at Thalia is based on a number of steps.
The first phase is the one of hedge fund picking (bottom-up approach)
which includes the sourcing and screening of hedge funds; analysts play
a significant role both in sourcing and in the very important phase of
hedge fund due diligence.
Following these steps, the Portfolio
Management team analyses the suitability of the investment with the
support of our Risk Management department, both on the single fund level
and on an overall portfolio basis. Operations at Thalia take care of the
implementation and administration of our investments.
The overall process results in the eight single strategy sub-funds of
the Generali Hedge Funds Sicav domiciled in Luxembourg. These single
strategy sub-funds are strategically allocated into various domestic
vehicles, where the asset allocation takes place with the help of market
and risk factor analysis.
